On February 7, 1985, undercover DEA agent Enrique Camarena (Steven Bauer) was abducted and murdered under the orders of drug Kingpin Rafael Caro Quintero (Academy Award-winner Benicio Del Toro). Camarena had fought on the front lines of the drug war for years, determined to bust the curtels that pervaded Mexico.
